We’ve been fighting World War III for decades …you just didn’t know it

Historians often take fifty years or so after a major event such as the fall of a civilization or beginning of a world war to pinpoint the exact moment that precipitated the landmark event, e.g., it took until the end of World War II for historians to isolate an obscure assassination in Serbia as the event that touched off World War I. Twenty-five years from now, historians will probably single out the Russian invasion of Crimea in 2014 as the root cause event igniting World War III. Personally, I would make that date much earlier.

I am convinced that we Americans are already in the middle of a fight for our very survival: What historians in the future may well call “World War III,” assuming it engulfs Europe and spreads into the Indo-Pacific, as I suspect it will. Why do I believe this?

Consider that we are already neck deep in a hybrid war that has been ongoing on since 1985, when the Russians forged the survivors of their gulag gladiator schools into a criminal arm of Russian intelligence. 1985 was the year that Russian heroin interests orchestrated the murder of Gambino crime family boss Paul Castellano, infiltrated our organized crime structure from the street level up, and flooded the United States with criminals, heroin, and spies. 1985 was also the year the Russian KGB started cultivating and recruiting an asset who would later become president of the United States — if you think Jeffrey Epstein had something on Donald Trump …it ain’t nothing compared to what Putin must have on him.

Today, the American people find themselves fighting the new-and-improved “axis of evil.” This time it’s a strategic alliance between our traditional nation-state adversaries Russia, China, and the BRIC countries of the world; the billionaire Bond villains, and the multinational corporations profiting from the surveillance economy. Their intent is to capture and socioeconomically enslave one of the largest consumer economies in the world; to re-purpose our economy to suit their megalomania.

How are we doing so far? The war looks pretty grim right now …and it’s going to get pretty dark unless the American people wake up and start fighting back in earnest, and very soon. Each of us will have to decide for ourselves what kind of a stand we’ll make, but one thing is certain: Either we all hang together, in the words of The Founders …or we will all hang separately. Here’s where we stand today:

A cabal of insanely rich, powerful men have employed a career business “front” from an organized crime family, Donald Trump, to generate the smoke and noise they need to obfuscate their takeover of our government. To this end, they have systematically dismantled our key institutions and agencies, corrupted and co-opted our Supreme court, sealed our borders, and created an army of Brown Shirts and a veritable Gestapo from the ranks of ICE, Military Intelligence, etc. They have neutralized our intelligence community and our ability to defend ourselves from military attack by depleting our arsenal and dissipating our forces. They have weaponized the Internal Revenue Service and poisoned our relationships with our allies. They are manipulating our stock markets and are actively working to bankrupt and destroy our monetary system based on the U.S. Dollar (USD). Now that’s dark.

The prognosis is bleak; however, there may still be some basis for optimism:

  • Many Americans are gradually beginning to wake up. Will it be too late? Maybe not. If the people vote against Republican incumbents rather than for a given candidate, we may be able to break the Republican stranglehold. Sure, the Democrats are bad, but I don’t see them pointing the military at protesters just yet.
  • Some state courts and legislatures are actively resisting. Sure, the administration will simply ignore the courts, but they need some modicum of legitimacy.
  • There may be significant pushback to a “national emergency” in the midterms. The No Kings movement had popular support. A turnout of 6% of the population in a protest-shutdown would change the regime.
  • The military may balk at killing Americans in the streets. We can only hope this will be true if push comes to shove.
