The Narrative of Lessons Learned on the Ground Moving Forward: Is The Media Buzzword Salad Sustainably Sourced?

There’s a lot of cliche to unpack here, but the short answer is that yes, it is. With corporate talking heads from PBS to CNN and Fox all synchronized to the same buzzword tool set, it is far easier for “content consumers” to get the official corporate news stories from the “content creators” …even if you change channels every five minutes (roughly the time between ads for insurance companies). To prove this to yourself, jot down the buzzword phrases from the currently running news story, changing channels every time you see “Flo from Progressive” or “Jake from State Farm” on your screen. After you’ve changed channels a few times, stitch your interstitial story fragments together end-to-end (William Burroughs-style) and compare your composite story with the front page of the Post and the Times (or The Onion, for that matter). I’m no influencer, but it certainly seems that the sustainable green way forward would be to cut the corporate media cord and turn off the bullshit …on the ground going forward, that is.
